Terror Troop 079: Halloween 2013

A patchwork episode for Halloween! The crew was a bit scattered this time out, but we managed to come up with some individual recommendations, and had two movies to review, plus Bloody Lizzy added a “Creepy Pasta” scary story for you all! First off, we are joined again by our good friend Levi Olson, The Unknown Murderer, and we we begin with our personal Halloween recommendations for you! Levi suggests The Devil’s Rain (1975), Kelly Killbot recommends “found footage” pioneering film, The Last Broadcast (1998), Willis hypes The Curse of Chucky (2013), Boss brings in a vampire flick, The Moth Diaries (2011), Dan of the Dead’s Halloween “go to” movie is John Carpenter’s The Thing and finally, Chris Excess goes deep and recommends David Cronenberg’s Shivers from 1975!!

Next are the main features! We look at Tales From The Crypt: Demon Knight (1995) and Satan’s Little Helper (2004). At the end of the show, Bloody Lizzy tells you a scary story, Room 409, “Creepy Pasta” style! For you adventurers, after the ending theme there is a brief discussion between Boss and Chris Excess about The Day of The Dead or Día de Muertos, to be correct. Hope you enjoy the episode and have a great Halloween!

Episode Lineup: Boss Butcher, Wildman Willis Wheeler, Kelly Killbot and Levi Olson. Contributions from Dan of the Dead, Chris Excess and Bloody Lizzy.

  1. Another fun episode, I loved the Halloween picks, it was like the individual segments from way back when 🙂

  2. Malky-
Glad you enjoyed it! I have to tell you, almost every interaction I have had with listeners included a request for more individual recommendations. We are going to be including more of those in future episodes for sure! BTW, are you going to fill us in on the Halloween Film fest, still? (fingers crossed) 🙂
